About Aarlika Foods
Aarlika LLC is a Sugar Land, Texas company supplying one ingredient to US craft breweries: single-variety Alphonso mango pulp from the Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu, India.
Who we are
Aarlika LLC is a Sugar Land, Texas company with a deliberately narrow focus. We supply one ingredient, single-variety Alphonso mango pulp, to craft breweries, cideries and beverage formulators in the United States. Doing one thing lets us document it properly: where the fruit grows, how it is processed, how every lot is tested and how it reaches your cellar. Aarlika Foods is our brand; Aarlika LLC is the company you buy from and contract with.
Origin and sourcing: the Krishnagiri and Bargur belt
Our Alphonso mangoes come only from farms in the Krishnagiri and Bargur belt of Krishnagiri district, Tamil Nadu, India. The farms sit on the upland plateau of the region, where warm days and cooler nights let the fruit ripen slowly on the tree. That microclimate suits Alphonso, the variety prized for its intense, terpene-rich aroma: the tropical, floral and resinous notes that carry through fermentation into the finished beer.
We buy one variety only. The pulp is 100% Alphonso and is never blended with Totapuri or the other lower-cost varieties often used to stretch commodity mango pulp. Sourcing only from this one belt keeps the supply traceable to a defined growing area, close to the Bargur processing facility. You can follow each step on our Krishnagiri supply chain page.
Aseptic processing and packaging in Bargur
Harvested fruit travels a short distance to our partner processing facility in Bargur, also in Krishnagiri district. There it is washed, inspected and sorted, then pulped. The pulp is de-aerated to remove trapped air that would otherwise dull its color and aroma, then flash-pasteurized, a brief thermal treatment that makes it commercially sterile while protecting the fresh fruit character.
Filling is aseptic, not hot-filled. The treated pulp goes into pre-sterilized, multi-barrier bags under sterile conditions. Each bag holds 44.1 lbs net fruit pulp and is sealed inside an export-grade corrugated box. Boxes ship palletized, 40 to 46 boxes per pallet, which is 1,764 to 2,028 lbs net fruit pulp. Nothing is added: no sugar, acids, colors or preservatives.
Because the pulp is commercially sterile, unopened boxes are ambient shelf-stable. They need no refrigerated trucks and no freezer space: store them cool and dry, and check the shelf life printed on each lot's Certificate of Analysis. Once a bag is opened, keep it in cold storage at 32°–40°F and use it within 72 hours, or freeze the opened pulp at 0°F or below.
Quality assurance and lot verification
Every production lot is tested before it ships. Lots are tested by NABL-accredited food testing laboratories in Bengaluru and Hosur for Brix, pH, titratable acidity and commercial sterility. NABL is India's national accreditation board for testing laboratories, which assesses labs against ISO/IEC 17025.
Results are checked against our published specification: a minimum of 16.0 °Bx (typical reference lot 17.9 °Bx), pH 3.50–4.00, titratable acidity 0.45–0.75% as citric and Bostwick consistency of 9.0–13.0 cm/30 s. A lot that passes is released with its own Certificate of Analysis. That COA comes with brewer evaluation sample kits, and registered buyers can download it in the customer portal. The full limits are on our specifications page.
The partner facility holds an FSSAI licence, and commercial imports comply with US FDA Prior Notice and the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP). We only claim certifications we hold. Facility audit dossiers and regulatory filings are provided directly to registered commercial brewery accounts on request.
Direct import to Texas
Commercial lots travel from India by ocean freight and enter the United States through Houston. Aarlika LLC runs import, compliance and US sales from Sugar Land, Texas, just southwest of Houston. Buying direct removes the broker and distributor layers between the processor and your brewery: you deal with the company that sourced the fruit, holds the lot documents and answers your technical questions.
From Texas we coordinate commercial freight to breweries, cideries and beverage producers across the United States. Pricing, including freight, is quoted on inquiry for your volume and delivery location, and minimum order quantities are confirmed with your inquiry.
Built for brewers
Our specifications, dosage calculator, taproom profit calculator and Brewmaster AI assistant are written for brewhouse use: pounds per BBL, 44.1 lb box counts, gravity added and cellar handling at 32°–40°F after opening. Most brewers start with an evaluation sample kit and a pilot batch before planning a commercial release, and single 44.1 lb boxes are available for pilot trials and recipe validation.
